All this warm weather has got me thinking about spring and getting back outside for some family sessions! I’m reminiscing back to late summer with all the pretty tall grass in my favorite field, and the sound of crickets filling the air. ::sigh:: Even though late summer sunsets mean sessions happen a bit closer to bedtime, it’s totally worth it!
Every so often a baby comes into my studio and sleeps the entire session. This pretty little girl was so very good to me, and we got to play with some super fun colors!
Baylor’s mom and I went to elementary school together so I was thrilled to get a chance to catch up after all of these years. It’s so crazy how so much time can go by without a word, and then just like that, you’re in the mom club and have so much in common without even knowing it. One of my favorite parts of newborn sessions is chatting with mom and dad- hearing all the details of their new baby’s birth and excitement for their future.
This sweet girl totally spoiled me and her gallery is one of my favorites to date!

It’s always such an honor when my friends ask me to photograph their newborn bundles of joy. Henry’s dad and I went to the Coast Guard Academy together and I hadn’t seen him since our 2008 graduation, so when he and his wife contacted me I jumped at the chance to be a part of this special time!
Henry was so good to me! Gray, blue, and white is one of my favorite color schemes for boys, and their gallery came together SO well. Creating a cohesive gallery with lots of variety is one of my favorite parts of this job!

This little man has no idea how lucky he is, but I’m sure he’ll figure it out soon enough! I can’t wait to see him and his parents again for his next milestone session next week- I am always amazed at how quickly grow throughout the first year!
