I’m so happy you’re here! If you’re browsing here, you’re likely expecting a new bundle of joy in your life. Let me be one of the first to offer you my sincere congratulations! Whether it’s your first child or you’re a seasoned pro, the first few weeks of your baby’s life can be some of the most overwhelming and amazing of your life.
And it goes entirely too quick
Before you know it, that sweet new baby smell and soft peach fuzz disappears, and your once tiny baby doesn’t curl up in your arms quite like they did the day before. I’m here to preserve that fleeting moment for you along with all the details that make each new life beautiful and unique.
I started this journey after I got out of the Coast Guard and had my first son, Daniel. I wanted so badly to slow time as he grew, and found my best attempt at this was through photography. After “borrowing” all my friends’ babies to practice, I realized that this was what I was meant to do. Fast forward 8 years, three more kids, and several moves – here we are. We are enjoying our current duty station in Eastern CT while my husband teaches at our Alma Mater – the US Coast Guard Academy!

Nicolle is a United States Coast Guard Academy alum and mom of 2. After graduating and spending about 7 years active duty, she decided to leave the Coast Guard to stay home with her adorable littles, Ellie and Jimmy. She is passionate, creative, and super organized – after chatting with her for a bit you’ll feel like long time friends!
In her free time, she loves to decorate sugar cookies (Colie’s Kitchen) and help other families navigate the challenges of childhood eczema and allergies. She has had a unique journey with Jimmy’s chronic eczema diagnosis and has recently started a resource guide to help other families with their journeys. You can learn more by clicking here.

Mercedes McCoy has been a makeup artist and licensed Aesthetician Instructor for more than 20 years, and her broad experience ranges from national TV commercials & films to formal gatherings & events. At Mercedes’ private studio in Groton, CT clients will know as soon as they walk in the door that they are about to receive a special experience. Her easy, genuine style puts clients at ease while she provides many customized services including facials, waxing, lash lifts & tinting, plus a complete selection of retail cosmetics and skincare. She travels on-location upon request with her extensive makeup & hair kit for photo sessions and weddings.
